Khamovniki, an immersive digital sculpture, nostalgically portrays Moscow's Khamovniki District while adapting to Covid-19 constraints for the VII Moscow International Biennale for Young Art.
Historically, the Biennale has taken place at various galleries throughout the Khamovniki District of Moscow. Khamnovniki, the sculpture, displayed the diversity and beauty of Moscow's famed architectural landscape alongside an equally diverse cohort of young artists.
Inspired by Salvador Dali's The Persistence of Memory, it features playful absurdist-themed artworks displayed on white "gallery walls" of creatively altered landmarks, borrowing from Constructivism graphic design cues.
Khamovniki was created in conjunction with Я не знаю, Земля кружится или нет… (I don't know whether the Earth is spinning or not…). ↓
